India was previously made of different principalities following different faiths mostly Hindu. Every principality had it's own culture. These principalities often waged war with each other for annexing and expanding their area. Even Lord Ram wanted to expand his kingdom. Lord Ram performed Ashvamedha Yagna (sacrifice of a horse) to annex the neighbouring principalities. Ashvamedha Yagna is an old practice which consisted of sending a horse, followed by the army of the king who performs the Yagna, to wander everywhere. If there was no resistance to the horse, the area covered by the horse was annexed to the kingdom of the King performing the Yagna. Lord Ram sent his horse to wander, but was stopped by twins Luv & Kush. A war ensued and the army was defeated and Lord Ram had to come himself to see why his army got defeated. It was found that the horse was held by twin children who were his own, thus had similar powers like that of Lord Ram. This was an example to prove that India was divided by different principalities each having different culture. The Moghuls invaded different principalities and not only plundered them but made forcefully conversion to Islam. When the Moghuls were defeated by the British, many were converted to Christianity. When Britsh left, the area was divided into India and Pakistan. Later Pakistan got divided into Pakistan and Bangladesh. When India got freedom, all the principalities were merged and India was born. The principalities which were reluctant to merge, were merged forcefully. When all the principalities merged, their cultures remained as it was. HECE INDIA IS HAVING DIVERSITY. THE COUNTRIES WENT ON WITH FORCEFUL ONE CULTURE. It was this decision of forcefully making one culture, the country got divided into two. Ironically the same situation is in the offing here right now. We pray to God that it is a passing phase and the fanaticism is ended.
