Reflex action is a behaviour in which the due to the stimulation of a sensory organ or a receptor results in an activity without the intervention of will.

There are five things that are important during a reflex action they are; receptor, sensory nerves, motor nerves, effector organ like muscles, and central nervous system.

The sensory fibers are responsible for bringing in the impulses from the receptor to the CNS. The motor nerves are responsible for relay action from the CNS to the effector organs.
