Montane ecosystems is a mountain ecosystem.  

These ecosystems are strongly affected by climate which gets colder as during high elevation.  

Stratified according to elevation.  

Dense forests are common at moderate elevations.

Mountainous areas decrease in temperature with increasing altitude leads to corresponding change in natural vegetation of India.  

Between 1500 and 3000 meters you can find temperate forests containing coniferous trees like pine, deodar, silver fir, spruce and cedar.
