And without wasting any time, Bill straightforwardly told Oliver's mother that they are here looking for Oliver and that they need to search the place. She took an iron from the stove and with it, she threatened the two visitors to burn them with that iron if they searched her place. The narrator got scared, but, however, they did search the house, but they couldn't find Oliver there.
