why did Gandhi withdraw the movement?

Non-cooperation movement was done against the harsh policies of British such as Rowlatt Act, Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, etc.

Gandhi wanted a non- violent movement but due to the very violent incidence at Chauri-Chaura non-cooperation movement was withdrawn.
