The novel kashi yatre is a story of old woman who wants to visit kashi because most Hindus believe that going to kashi is ultimate punya.She was also a Hindu and believed in this .She collected money for this but she didn't visit kashi because the money she collected to visit kashi was given by her to an orphan girl who wants money for her marriage.
