You take food in your mouth. Chew it. The saliva breaks the food into smaller parts. It then goes down the food pipe which is also called oesophegus. Then it goes to the stomach where hydrochloric acid further breaks down the food into simpler substances for easy digestion. Then the nutrients of that food is absorbed by the body and the waste is thrown out of the body through anus.

Hope it helps
Thank you :)

akashdeykolpaiuc5: I have said it in brief.

The human digestive systemconsists of the gastrointestinal tract plus the accessory organs of digestion (the tongue, salivary glands, pancreas, liver, and gallbladder). In this system, the process of digestion has many stages, the first of which starts in the mouth. Digestion involves the breakdown of food into smaller and smaller components, until they can be absorbed and assimilated into the body
