Nutrition in Amoeba.

Amoeba is unicellular organisms .

Amoeba takes in complex organic matter as food.

Amoeba first identifies its food. It then throw out a number of small psudeodia (false feet).

These psudeodia enclosed the food particles and prevent it from escaping.

The food enclosed in the cell membrane forms a food vacuole.

The complex food is broken down into simpler molecules with the help of digestive enzymes of the organelles called lysosome.

The digested food is distributed in the cytoplasm of the cell and the undigested food is egested thorough the cell membrane.
