Describe the process of opening and closing of stomata?​

Opening and closing of stomata is a function of guard cell. When water the flows into the stomata the guard cell open and when the water comes out of it the guard cell shrink and closed.

Explanation:

The opening and closing of Stomata is Controlled by Guard cells in lower epidermis of leaves . When it swells (become full) it get opens and when it loses water it become elongated and closes. Most of the guard cells present below the leaf as upper part of leaf contains chlorophyll which helps in photosynthesis
