Hey friend!!!!

Here is ur answer ⤵️

⭐Sedimentation :when the heavier component in a mixture settles after water is added to it, the process is called Sedimentation.

⭐Decantation : when water(along with the dust) is removed, the process is called Decantation.

⭐If a mixture of such liquids is allowed to stand for some time, they form two separate layers. The component that forms the top layer can then be separated by Decantation.

Hope it's help you friend ☺️

Hello

Here is your answer.

❓What is sedimentation ❓

>> The process of allowing a certain mixture to settle down by keeping it undisturbed for sometime is called sedimentation.

❓What is decantation ❓

>>Pouring the clear liquid into another vessel when all the particles have settle down is called decantation.

Experiment :To carry out the process of sedimentation and decantation .

Take a beaker containing water and mix mud in it.
Prepare a mixture of mud and water .
Keep it undisturbed for sometime

Observation:- You will find that the mud particles have settled to the bottom of the beaker and there is a separate layer of mud and water.

Now pour the clear liquid into another beaker.

So now you got the two mixtures / particles separated.

❓ What type of mixtures can be separated ❓

>> Type of mixture that can be separated is :-
Solid - liquid mixture.
Example- Mud and water.
