Democracy technically is supposed to give the system free and equal right of every person to participate in a system of government, often practiced by electing representatives of the people by the majority of the people. As a Nation a democratic government is supposed to have been elected freely and equally by all its citizens. As an organization its elected members who represent citizens, have a free and equal right to participate in decision-making processes of the country...Encarta Dictionary.
