Sexual reproduction of flowering plants involves the production of male and female gametes,the transfer of the male gamates to the female ovule in a process called pollination . After pollination occurs, fertilization occurs and the ovules grows in to seeds within a fruit.

Explanation:the male germ cell is the pollen grain and the female is the ovary.the pollen grain is present on the stamen.  the pollen grain is sent from style through the pollen tube to the ovaries.fertilisation takes place. after fertilisation,the zygote divides several times to form an embryo within the ovule. the ovule develops a tough coat and is gradually converted into a seed  the ovary grows rapidly and ripens to form a fruit. by time the petals ,sepals ,stamen, style ,and stigma falls off.

the seed contains the future plant or embryo which develops into a seedling under appropriate conditions. this process is called as germination.
