It was a group of 4 islands such as English, Welsh, Scotland and Ireland.

All these ethnic groups have their own culture and political tradition.But the English nation steadily grew in wealth and power.It extended its influence over the other nations of the islands.

In 1688, English parliament seized power from monarchy.The act of union,1707,brought Scotland in the United Kingdom.

Later Ireland was also in cooperated in 1801 in the United Kingdom.
