  1. Solids:

Solids have fixed volume and fixed shape.

The particles of solids have very little spaces between them.

Solids cannot flow.

Solids cannot be compressed.

For example:wood ,chair.

2. Liquids:

liquids have no fixed shape but they have fixed volume.

They can flow easily.

Liquids can be compressed much.

they have more spaces between their particles as compared to the solids having no spaces between them.

example:water, oil.

3. Gases.

Gases have neither fixed shape nor fixed volume.

Particles of gases are very far from each other thus having the largest spaces between their particles.

they can flow.

Gases can be compresses easily.

for example: air.
