Anne was the elder sister of Margot. She always had this feeling that her mother loved Margot more than her because she was well-mannered and studious.

This led to a communication gap among the family members. She found her mother favouring Margot. She found it difficult to get along well with her sister, mother and the other fellow residents of Annexe.

The two sisters don’t often get along, are not close friends, and don’t confide in each other much.

Margot doesn’t get much attention in Anne’s diary. She envied Anne’s relationship with Peter.

Margot was very mature and caring by encouraging Anne’s relationship with Peter, and by not being bitter with Anne for having a close friend

Anne Frank was 13 when her sister Margot was 16 years old.

Anne was talkative and inquisitive whereas Margot was reticent by her nature.

Anne worked on her own frustrations and wanted to get rid of her fear for everything, but for Margot the entire life was well chalked-out.

To other people, Margot was almost a kind of non-entity. Anne was also more independent.
