Describe the response of human body to low external temperatures

actually , a part of brain called hypothalamus controls our body temperature. when our body gets exposed to cold, we starts feeling cold and our body temperature decreases . then this decrease in body temperature is instantly detected by our hypothalamus. thus hypothalamus sends signals to our muscles to contract and relax rapidly ,making us shiver . this rapid contraction and relaxation of our muscles generate heat . this heat warms our body.
