Revenue System under Delhi Sultanate:

  • The revenue system during the Delhi Sultanate that is the time of Mughal Empire was the system of levying taxes in relevance with a propounded theory.
  • The lands were divided into four types as the categorization of land was done.
  • Iqta, Khalsa, then the land left with rajas and the fourth kind was the land gifted to peasants as Inam or Idarat.
  • Iqta was the sole land to collect revenues which was collected by the Iqtadars.
