Answer: Before the hail storm his state of mind was happy and after the hail storm his state of mind was worring

Explanation:Before the hail storm he was expecting the rain shower so that his corn field would get yield well and this will earn money to support his family so suddenly his dream became true and it was raining.but how ever the rain suddenly changed to hail storm. After the hail storm he became very sad by seeing the corn field which was cover with snow. As the only source of earning is the selling of corn but how ever the corn was ruined due to the hail storm and he decided to write a letter to God
