1. Baba Ramchandra led in awadh campesinos.

The movement here was against talukdars and landlords, who demanded exorbitantly high rents from the peasants and a number of other cesses.

2. Peasants had to make begar and work without payment at landlords farms.

They had no tenure security as tenants and were expelled regularly so that they had no right over the leased land.

3. The peasant movement demanded income reduction, begar abolition, and oppressive landlords' social boycott.

Meanwhile, jawaharlal nehru started to wander around the villages in awadh.

4. In the villages was founded the awadh kisan sabha. However, the peasant movement developed in the forms which were unhappy with the leadership of the Congress.
