The Bastile was the fortress of France which stood for the despotic power of the king and also the it was hated by all the peoples, it was destroyed by the people militia of France, they all gathered there and released the prisoners who were prisoned there; there were only 7 prisoners. The fort was broken into pieces and the stones were sold in the market and people bought it also as their victory on the unlimited power of the king.

it happen in 1830 and was an uprising of the peasants,middle class and other workers,San cullotes against the democratic rule of the Louis XVI this was due to the torture of the king to the people's of its kingdom this led an uprising and after the storming of the Bastille in 1830 Louis XVI was guillotined and thereby new rule which was not democratic starts...I think this might help you..
