Structure Of Nucleus :

* Nucleus is a clear conspicuous and easily distinguishable structure. It is double member and bone structure. It mainly consists of (a) Nuclear Member and (b) Chromosomes

(a) Nuclear Membrane

* Nucleus is surrounded by a double walled nuclear membrane

* Its composition and structure is similar to that of a cell membrane

* The nuclear membrane at certain places has pores these are call nuclear pores through the pores materials may be exchanged between nucleus and cytoplasm

(b) Chromosomes

* Chromosomes are Thick rod like structures which are visible at the time of cell division. Rest of the time (that is in a non dividing cell) they remain diffused and dissolved inside the nucleus as chromatin material .Chromatin material condition of DNA and protein it is visible as and entangled mass of thread like structure (these Threads are in fat DNA molecule)

* At the time of cell division chromatin material get highly condended to form chromosome of a chromosome represents the condenser form of chromatin and it also consists of DNA and protein DNA molecules that is it contains information as necessary for constructing and organising self therefore chromosomes are the packets of genetic information .They also can with this information from one cell to another at that time of cell division and from parents to offspring the time of reproduction

* Number, shape and size of chromosomes in a particle species is fixed as the amount of DNA in a cell is constant

* The genetic information in a chromosome is present in the form of small segment of DNA this segment of DNA are called genes
