The leaf of the Pitcher plant that modified to form a Pitcher with a lid. This ladies able to open and close the mouth of the pitcher. The Picther is lined with a downward pointing hairs. When an insect inters cannot climb back out. Against the hairs and ultimately falls to the bottom of the leaf and get digested , this is how a Pitcher plant catches insect and the structure of Pitcher plant is is pointed downwards and the leaves of pitcher are modified leaves. Pitcher plant use nitrogen to fulfill their requirement so they feed on insects to fulfill it. the picture plant is also called as insect eating plant ' Insectivorous plants'.
