Hello there!!
I'm Rajdeep.....
The spinal cord is an elongation of the medulla oblongata of the brain, which comprises 31 super imposed segments of bones...there are five parts:
There are 8 cervical segments.
12 Thoracic segments.
5 Lumbar segments.
5 Sacral segments.
1 Coccyxgeal segment....
The spinal cord also comprises a central canal through which a fluid, namely Cerebro Spinal Fluid flows......
And the medulla region of spinal cord consists of grey matter and the cortex region consists of white matter...
The spinal cord is the main centre of reflex action.
Hope this helps..
Thanks!

Answer:
The spinal cord is a long, thin, tubular structure made up of nervous tissue, which extends from the medulla oblongata in the brainstem to the lumbar region of the vertebral column. It encloses the central canal of the spinal cord, which contains cerebrospinal fluid.
