Good omens:
1. When a person sees a married woman decked with flowers and kumkum before leaving on a trip, it is hoped that it will be a successful trip.
2. When a person sees a peacock, it is considered as lucky.
3. Eating curd with sugar is believed to bring good luck in exams.
4. If the horoscopes match, it is believed that the marriage will be successful.
5. It is believed that crows cawing near the house indicate that visitors will come to the house.
Bad omens:
1. Seeing a black cat before leaving the house indicates that something bad will happen.
2. Continuous hiccups is said to indicate that a close person is thinking bad about you.
3. Seeing a widow before leaving for an occasion is said to bring bad luck.
4. It is said that clipping nails at night attracts the evil spirits.
5. If a woman's left eye twitches or if a man's right eye twitches, it is believed to indicate bad luck."
