Fire(Desire) can be the cause of the end of the world because nowadays people round the world desire a lot of things like big buildings, parks, highways (you can add examples of your choice) and what not. This can lead to the destruction of the earth as people are continously cutting down trees and using all the resources a t a fast pace. This is how Fire can lead to the end of the world.
Ice (Hatred) can be another cause of the end of the world because people nowadays are full with pride and thinks of only themselves. They're spreading hate to eachother, they judge eachother. They are being brutal with people in place of being kind to them and spreading love.
