Answer: In the story "The Luncheon" which is written by the writer Somerset Maugham, the writer went on a meeting with his fan. She had read many of his books and become his fan instantly. She asked him to meet in an expensive restaurant Foyot's.
He was a poor writer. She said she won't eat anything and if he's insisting, she'll eat something. She ordered an asparagus. It was a very expensive meal.
