Camels have thick and rough hairy skin which doesn't allow most of the water to evaporate. It also contain a water bag in the rumen, which allows to store water for longer duration. It doesn't urinate much because all the water is retained within the body. It's eyes are covered by specialised membrane that protects from sand and dust storms.

The camel has many adaptive traits for their life in the desert. They have wide feet for walking in sand. They have long eyelashes and thin, slit nostrils that they can close to protect them from blowing sand. They are adapted to survive a long time without water and food.
