The steps of sexual reproduction in flowering plants is given below

1.Firstly, the pollen grains from the anther of the stamen need to be transferred to the stigma of the Pistils. this can be done either by self or cross pollination.

2. After the pollen grains lands on the stigma, in order to reach the ovary they start growing a tube through the style to the ovary.

3. the pollen grain travels through the style to reach the ovary, and fuses with the ovule to fertilise and form a zygote which is capable of growing into a new plant.

4. after fertilisation, the zygote divides several times to form an embryo, the ovule forms the tough seed coating and the ovary forms the fruit.

the other parts of the plant shrivel and fall off.
