Animals found in the tundra include the musk ox, the Arctic hare, the polarbear, the Arctic fox, the caribou, and the snowy owl. Many animals that live in the tundra, like the caribou and the semipalmated plover, migrate to warmer climates during the winter.

- ❇️ The wildlife of the tundra region consists of animals which have thick fur or layers of fat to conserve the body heat and enable them to survive in the severe cold.
- ❇️ Thus, we can see that climate, natural vegetation and wildlife are all closely interlinked. The plants adopt themselves to their physical surroundings and the living and non living world co - exist in perfect harmony
