these years saw so many changes in the lives of men , women and children . the revolutionary government took it upon themselves to pass laws that would translate the ideals of liberty and equality into everyday practice.

one such law was storming of Bastille in the summer of 1789 was the abolition of censor ship . in the old regime no written material like newspaper , books , magazines etc. cannot be published or performed if not had been approved by the censors of the king . Now the declaration of the rights of man and citizens proclaimed freedom of speech and expression to be a natural right.
