In 1815 AD, a Swedish chemist J.J. Berzelius put forward vital force theoryto explain the origin of organic compound. According to this theory,organic compound are formed and synthesized only within living species( plants and animals ). ... This theorydoes not account synthesis of organic compounds in laboratory.

According to this theory :-



Organic compounds can only be obtained from living organisms ,As they posses a super natural force called vital force



And this theory wad named as vital force theory .

In 1828 Friedrick Wholer synthesized ammonia from inorganic compounds .
