The poem Frog and The Nightingale brings about foolishness of following anybody blindly. It reflects the society of the present time. The crafty frog grew jealous of the nightingale's song. So he decided to outsmart her by showing his supremacy. The gullible and innocent nightingale was taken in by his cunning words. He forced her to sing continuously and loudly, only for the result that the bird dies. The poet tries to convey that success is determined by talent and not by influence. We should not blindly trust anyone, instead one must have certain self confidence and brain.
