Describe within FIVE sentences what you think the surprise was.
Sarah shivered in the backseat of the car as her parents drove through the city. She
looked out the window and was confused. They never took these streets to go
home. It seemed like this was the long way to get home. “Where are we going?”
she muttered. Sarah dreaded going home. Going home meant that she had to clean
her room. She walked up the steps to the house, and her mom opened the door.
Suddenly, everyone shouted, “Surprise!” In an instant, Sarah was smiling and
laughing. This was a happy scene to have in her home

It is mentioned, "everyone shouted surprise!" so, it can be possible that her parents planned a party for her and invited her friends. Her room would have been decorated neatly. They might have took different streets to reach home late (she also thought that home is far away...) so that all the preparations for surprise are done. She might had not expected seeing all these preparations in the room. Maybe it seemed like a dream to her where she wasn't needed to clean the room, everything seemed beautiful and everyone was waiting to surprise her.
