The main agreements arrived at by the majority and the minority people of South Africa before the adoption of its Constitution are:
- The elected ruler must not favour to only one of the White's as well as the Black people.
- The white minorities were keen to protect its privileges and properties.
- The black people demanded substantial social and economic rights.
- The black people wanted to build a new South Africa based on equality of all races, men and women on democratic values, social justice and human rights.
5. The constitution shall never permit a repetition of
their racist, brutal and repressive past.
Hope it was helpful.
