working of fuse
what is a fuse ?
a fuse is an electrical safety device. It works as an automatic means of removing power from a faulty system.
Working of a fuse:
- The fuse breaks the circuit if a fault in an eletrical appliance causes too much current to flow.
- Power is dissipated in the form of heat.
- Heat raises the temperature of the conductor.
- if the temperature raise up to the melting point of the fuse then the fuse melts and the circuit breaks
hope this helps you
