At School: Naming the Different Places

Pierre, a French high school student, and his class have been paired with another class in the US, so that each class can practice with their French or their English. Pierre and his classmates have been assigned a video project to tell their American peers about their daily life at a French school. Pierre starts by describing his morning school routine. Let's see how he gets to school.

FrenchEnglishLe bus (pronounced /büs/)'The bus'L'école (pronounced /ay-kol/)'The school'Le cours (pronounced /koor/)'The class'La cour de récréation (pronounced /koor duh ray-kray-ah-seeohn/)'The playground'La salle de classe (pronounced /sahl duh klas/)'The classroom'

In the video, Pierre starts by saying Le matin, je prends le bus à 7.30. ('I take the bus every morning at 7:30') and J'arrive à l'école à 8.00. ('I arrive at school at 8:00.') Pierre then says Mon premier cours est à 8.30, donc je passe du temps dans la cour de récréation avec mes amis. ('My first class is at 8:30, so I spend some time on the playground with my friends.'). Pierre finishes by saying Nous entrons dans la salle de classe à 8.20. ('We enter the classroom at 8:20.')

Describe it very simply: does it have different campus, a pool, a gymnasium, etc... Then, talk about you favorite place, where you like eating your sandwich, anything. Hope I helped ya ;)
