✯CLIFF is a vertical, or nearly vertical, rock exposure.Cliffs are usually formed by rock that is resistant to weathering and erosion. They can form near the ocean (sea cliffs), high in mountains, or as the walls of canyons and valleys.
Some of the largest cliffs on Earth are found underwater.
►One candidate for highest cliff in the world is Nanga Parbat's Rupal Face, which rises approximately 4,600 m, or 15,000 ft, above its base.
