Ganesh chaturthi also known as vinayaka chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated once a year in the honour of the Lord ganesh. This festival generally lasts for 10days ending on the 14th day of the fortnight. This festival is in the month of August/September. The famous states in India which celebrate this festival are maharasthra, andhra pradesh, gujarat and telangana.
