desert animals like Rat and snake do not have long legs a camel then how they do stay away from the hot sand

the have rough and thick skin with larger amount of fat so this insulate them

Actually in the day time they stay in their holes (you may call houses) and at night time when it is extremely cold they come out of their holes.

The thick layer of fur in the bodies of rats help them in cold temperatures.

The whole part of the snakes lies in the hole at night too and the preys(rats) come near them, they eat it.
