Answer:

Soil erosion results in movement of fertile top soil from one region to another thus reducing its fertility . When the top fertile soil is constantly removed from a region and only infertile subsoil is left behind , in such a soil only sparse vegetables can grow . This way , soil erosion gradually turns lush green into deserts . This is called desertification.... when the top fertile soil is lost it turns into deserts as it is difficult for plants to grow .
