Hey there! ☺☻☺
The databases of type OLTP (On Line Transaction Processing) are also called dynamic databases which means that the information is modified in real time, that is, they are inserted, deleted, modified and queried data online during the operation of the system.
An example is the system of a supermarket where each of the items that the customer is buying is registered and in turn the system is updating the Inventory.
The databases of type OLAP (On Line Analytical Processing) are also called static databases one could say that they are the opposite to OLTP which means that the information in real time is not affected, that is, they are not inserted, they are eliminated and data are not modified either; only consultations are made on the existing data for analysis and decision making.
