overpopulation in an area causes deforestation as house and other needs need space and cause trees to be cut
forest land is destroyed for aggricultuelre land
lot of things are created by wood so tree are cut

consequence are
tree provide O2 for us
trees stop the flow of floods and absorb the extra water from rains
they keep the ground in tact and avoid landslides
