m:n=2:3
2x+3x=12
5x=12
x=2.4
so the line segment will be divided in
2x=2.4×2=4.8cm
and,
3x=2.4×3=7.2cm
2x+3x=12
5x=12
x=2.4
so the line segment will be divided in
2x=2.4×2=4.8cm
and,
3x=2.4×3=7.2cm

Heya mate,Here is ur answer
Let the common ratio be x.
So, the ratio is 2: 3 .
So,part 1 =2x
part 2 =3x
Given : length of the rope = 12 cm
A/Q
2x+3x=12
5x=12
x=12/5
x=2.4
So, part 1 = 2×2.4
= 4.8
Part 2 =3×2.4
= 7.2
So, the point that divides rope of length 12 cm in ratio 2:3 is (4.8,7.2)
