Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

W2 = 1.755 g

● Explanation -

# Given -

W1 = 600 g

∆Tf = 0.2 ℃

Kf = 2 K/m

# Solution -

Elevation of freezing point is given by -

∆Tf = i × Kf × m

∆Tf = i × Kf × (W2/M2) / (W1 / d1)

0.2 = 2 × 2 × (W2/58.5) / (600/1000)

W2 = 0.2 × 0.6 × 58.5 / 4

W2 = 1.755 g

Hence, 1.755 g of NaCl have to be dissolved.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
