area of triangle abf :
here a =13 ,b=10, c=13
therefore 2s I,e perimeter =13+13+10=36
s=36/2=18
now ,
area of the triangle
=√s x(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)
=√18x(18-13)(18-10)(18-13)
=√18x 5x8x5
=√2x3²x5²x2cube
=√2²x2²x3²x5²
=2x2x3x5
=60cm²
area of rectangle bcef
=length x breadth
=24x10
=240cm²
since triangle abf and cde are congruent.
therefore area of triangle cdf= 60cm²
total area =area of abf+area of cde+area of bcef.
=(60+60+240)cm²
=360cm²
hope its the required answer...

Answer:

a) 360

b) 130

Step-by-step explanation:

A) AD bisects the figuire.... So by Pythagoras theorem find out height of triangle AFB and EDC then calculate area of the traingle by formula 1/2 × base × height... Find out area of triangle FBCE by formula length × breadth... Add all three to get total area.

B) Find out area of the triangle ABC by the formula used in the previous question.... Difference of the lines AC and ED will give the base of the triangles and the by using the same formula find out area of the triangle.... Area of the rectangle is needed to be find out by formula length × breadth.... Add all three to get final answer.
