↪Actually welcome to the concept of the WAVE MECHANICS..

↪Basically for a transverse wave. .the Velocity formula is given as ..

↪Vwave= underoot T / myu

↪where the .. T = tension in the string and the myu ( u ) = mass per unit length.,

↪thus here given as .. T = 80 N and u = 0.005/2

↪thus we get the velocity of the WAVE as ..

↪Vw = Underoot 80 ÷ 0.005/2

↪so after solving we get as ...

↪Vw = Underoot 160 /0.005

↪therefore Vw = Underoot 32,000

↪thus the WAVE Velocity = Underoot 32000

↪thus Vw = 178.88 m/s

Hope it helps u....☺

Anonymous: always in si units
mmursalomar: i thought the s i unit of mass is grams and not kgs
Anonymous: u = mass per unit Lenght
Anonymous: liner mass density is always kg/m
mmursalomar: ok am gratefull
Anonymous: means !!=_
mmursalomar: thank u so much for helping me
Anonymous: oh okay : )
mmursalomar: Calculate the power required to generate these waves if they have a wavelength of 16 m and are 4 cm in amplitude.
mmursalomar: kindly do the above for me again
