Hi there !

p(x) = 2x³ -6x² + kx - 2

x-2 is a factor of p(x)

x - 2 = 0

x = 2

p(2) = 0

p(2) = 2 ×2³ - 6× 2² + 2k -2

16 - 24 + 2k - 2 = 0

-10 + 2k

2k = 10

k = 10/2

k = 5
