Determine the value of log 5 to the base 25

Let x = log25(5)

25^x = 5

x = 1/2

x = 0.5

goyoolka: Alright, see, if 5^2 is 25 then root25 is 5. Correct? Root 25 can also be written as 25^1/2. So here, the base is 25. In order to convert 25 to 5 we'll have to root 25, right? Hence, we get the answer as 1/2 which is 0.5 and not 2!
