p( \frac{5}{2} ) = 2( \frac{5}{2} ) ^{2} - 5( \frac{5}{2} ) = 0 \\ \\ = 2( \frac{25}{4} ) - \frac{25}{2} = 0 \\ \\ = \frac{25}{2} - \frac{25}{2} = 0 \\ \\ \: 0 = 0 \: \: \: \: \: \: (L.H.S= R.H.S)

therefore,

m= 5/2 is the root of given p(x)
