Given
x^2 - 3x + 2 = 0
on putting x = -1 in equation , we get
(-1)^2 - 3 × (-1) + 2 = 0
1 + 3 + 2 =0
6 = 0
Hence RHS is not equal to LHS
therfore
x = -1 is not the root of given equation
