Given

x^2 - 3x + 2 = 0

on putting x = -1 in equation , we get

(-1)^2 - 3 × (-1) + 2 = 0

1 + 3 + 2 =0

6 = 0

Hence RHS is not equal to LHS

therfore

x = -1 is not the root of given equation

^_^ ...

JMK1: can you clear it plz
SakshaM725: yes please
SakshaM725: yes why not
JMK1: (-1)^2-3×(-1)+2=0 will be 1-3+2 right?
SakshaM725: yes it is correct
JMK1: you have written 1+2+3=0 in the answer
SakshaM725: when you multiply -1 × -1 you get 1
JMK1: oh yaa.. sorry
JMK1: thnx again
SakshaM725: welcome
